Adverse pregnancy outcomes and associated risk factors among pregnant women with syphilis during 2013–2018 in Hunan, China

Objective To investigate the adverse pregnancy outcomes and associated risk factors among pregnant women with syphilis. Design Pregnant syphilis in registry for prevention of mother-to-child transmission AIDS, hepatitis B Hunan Province, China, from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2018 were included study. Results Among 14,219 syphilis, 11,346 had definite singleton pregnancy. The related include age <20 years old (aOR = 1.274, 95% CI: 1.088–1.493) or ≥ 35 1.402, 1.167–1.686), not married 1.855, 1.453–2.367), initial detection late 1.266, 1.032–1.555), diagnosis 5.806, 1.796–18.770), during labor 4.102, 1.263–13.330), husband/sexual partner infected 1.222, 1.068–1.398), untreated 6.756, 5.586–8.197), nonstandard medication 3.300, 2.841–3.846). Conclusion prevalence China was relatively high. could be reduced by early standard treatment their husbands/sexual partners.
